More Gilda

Happy Tuesday the Love Gilda Instagram account in their stories a few days ago saying there will be more content and news coming . I am forever grateful to the Love Gilda social media accounts because they keep Gilda alive for us.

I couldn’t help but wonder what’s coming ? I honestly hope it’s another documentary. Love Gilda I thought was a masterpiece and so well done. I did notice that they used to have a site where they sold merch from the movie so maybe that means more Love Gilda merch?

I know I would love that . There is a serious lack of things out there that are Gilda themed. Having passed away many years ago there is only so many pictures out there of Gilda . That doesn’t mean there can’t ever be merchandise that is Gilda themed. I got a Roseanne Rosannadanna backpack for my birthday that has her iconic catchphrase on it and a Roseanne Rosanndanna funko.

There is even a Roseanne Rosannadanna doll out there

I dont have the doll but you know what I mean it’s great that there’s things like this out there of Gilda. Personally I would love more books out there about Gilda. I love discovering new things about her and learning new things about her life that I didn’t know before . I think books about Gilda would be great because so the people that didn’t get to meet her can get to know her and read about the wonderful person she was.

There is a shop on Amazon of shirts from the Love Gilda documentary

I hope more people learn about Gilda. The world should know her she deserves to be remembered forever and always.

I would love a great book or movie about Gilda as well. but if would have to be as accurate as possible with little or no influence or bias from the authors/creators. But that is very unlikely as we (people) see the world through our own imperfect personalities.

What would be best is a comprehensive compilation of Gilda’s work. All of her SNL sketches in one place. All of her films available in one place, her books, TV appearances and so on. Perhaps even a publication of the journals used in “Love, Gilda”?

I believe the best way to remember her and ensure that people continue to discover her is directly through her own work and words. But we have discovered her and so I think people will continue to discover her for many generations to come!
